COVID-19 Notice

As COVID-19 has become a part of the world we live in, we would like to update our community on TVOP's course of action moving forward for all trips and events.

There is no doubt that COVID19 continues to have an impact on our communities, especially those most vulnerable to the virus. We are continuing to follow the guidance and leadership of health experts and other organizations. Read on to learn what to expect on a TVOP adventure in 2023.

We ask all participants - whether you attend a day hike or an overnight adventure - to have available proof of up-to-date vaccination. We also require participants on overnight adventures that take place indoors to test negative for COVID19 24-48 hours prior to your event's meeting time (an at-home test is fine). Adventures that take place completely outdoors will no longer require a test, but will still require proof of vaccination. Masks are not required during indoor or outdoor events, however they are welcomed if wearing one allows you to better engage with the group.

Some instructors, including guest instructors, may ask people to mask at any given time during a TVOP event. Though masks are no longer required at an organizational level, we ask you have a mask handy just in case.

PLEASE be mindful of your own (and group) safety. If you or anyone in your household are not feeling well, we ask you stay home to reduce group transmission of illness.

We love our strong community and want to stick together, all while being prudent. As such, we will continue updating our trips and events pages with our COVID requirements to attend safely. Please feel free to email us with questions. We will keep you updated.
